Enter the Space Savers Community Clean That Closet Challenge!

As of 11:59 p.m. (PT) August 15, 2010, we are no longer accepting entries for the Clean That Closet Challenge.

Does your home have a closet that is an organizational abyss? Perhaps it’s the guest bedroom closet where the entire family stores their old clothes. Maybe it’s your linen closet – packed to the ceiling with more sheet sets than you need, and enough toiletries for an army. Or, worse yet, maybe it’s your own bedroom closet so packed with extra stuff that you’re unable to locate a matching pair of shoes. Regardless of its location in your home, these “black hole” closets are a source of stress every time they’re opened.

The Space Savers community is here to help. This month, we’re launching our Clean That Closet Challenge to help frustrated owners of cluttered closets get streamlined, reorganized and under control. So, if you have a messy closet that needs some TLC, enter today. The first 100 entrants will receive a one large and one extra-large vacuum-seal storage pack for free to help him or her start organizing bulky clothing and bedding. You must be a Space Savers community member to be eligible to win, so join today if you haven’t already! We’ll be sharing some of our favorite submissions on the Space Savers community blog, so stay tuned.

Our grand prize winner will receive a $1,000 gift card to Bed, Bath & Beyond, a private consultation with certified professional organizer Kathi Burns, and a supply of Space Bag products to organize his or her closets. Ready to share your story? Dust off your digital camera and log onto our contest entry form. Participants must explain in 500 words or less why they need the closet makeover, and submit a photo or brief video showcasing their messiest closet. The essay is worth a total of 60 points, while the photo or video is worth an additional 40 points. Check out the full contest rules for additional details. Best of luck!
